HISTORY

Badur Youth Front a leading youth movement in 1990s decided to expand its activities. As a result of this the movement approached Al Haj Abdul Gaffar, President of South Lanka Islamic Secretariat for assistance for vocational training courses like Typing, Sewing and cookery. Under the insruction of Al Haj Abdul Gaffar the front decided to form an Ahadiyya School in the area. A meeting was summoned on 02.07.1989 discussions held in this regard. Finally it was named as Badur Ahadiyya School and date fixed to start the Ahadiyya on 22.08.1989 Badur Youth Front, time to time changed its name & form and finally it took the shape as Badur Islamic Association

Decision was made to start an Ahadiyya School in the area and name was given as Badur Ahadiyya School.

22.08.1989

Badur Ahadiyya School started to function at Arafa Central College. Moulavi M.A.A.M. Bishr was appointed as its first ever Principal.

1991

First Prize Giving function was held. Director of Education Al Haj M.H.M.Jowfar took part as Chief Guest

1991

Separate units were formed for Education, Culture, Social Service and Technology

1992

Responded to a request of Al Haj S.S.M. Aboobukr Deputy Minister of Scientific Affairs and Technology by collecting food and clothing for north and east refugees

1992

Al Haj S.S.M. Aboobukr Deputy Minister of Scientific Affairs and Technology graced the Prize Giving ceremony

1993

Hon Minister of Ports and Shipping and Rehabilitation Al Haj M.H.M. Ashraf graced the occasion of Prize Giving

1994

Al Haj Imthiyas Bakir Markar participated at the Prize Giving as chief guest

1996

Al Haj M.M. Zuhair Hon Member of Parliament participated as chief guest at the Prize Giving

13.03.1999

Celebrated 10th anniversary & a souvenir Albadr was released. Sen. Lecturer of Jamiya Naleemiya Al Haj A.C. Agar Muhammed was the chief guest.

22.08.1999

Uniforms were introduced for students with the help of World Assebly of Muslim Youths

09.04.2000

‘Muhasaba’ swatch system was introduced to monitor the daily practices of the students

2001

Separate units were formed for boys and girls

2001

Students were taken for a 03 days educational tour

2001

A computer was donated by the employees in Saudi Arabia

2002

Boys and Girls units were reunited due to shortage of resources

2002

Al Haj M. Najeebdeen Chairman of Paragon Institute was the chief guest at the Prize Giving function

2003

03 day educational tour

A TV programme was staged by the students on the day of Eidul Fithr on Rupavahini

2003

Another computer was donated by the employees in Saudi Arabia

2006

A full day seminar was organized for the Ahadiyya teachers in Matara District

A career guidance seminar was held for those who set for the G.C.E. (O/L)

06.02.2008

The business establishment PC Tech & Communication was taken by Badur Isalmic Association
